MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER FINAL SET
AAA Middle School Soccer semi-finals took place February 2 with Hoover falling to Rooftop 2-0 and Aptos downing Lick 2-0.  The Ravens and defending champion Tigers move on to the title match set for February 7 at Kezar with a 3:30pm kick-off.  Think SUN and come see some exciting action on the pitch.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL UNDERWAY
The AAA Middle School Girls Volleyball season began January 19 and continues through March 6.  Check the links below for a complete schedule and daily updated standings.

PANTHERS CLAW WAY TO VICTORY In a low scoring Middle School Boys Basketball Championship held at Kezar Pavilion December 13, Presidio shut down Aptos 20-15.  The win brought the Panthers their fourth overall title.  Congratulations to both schools on very successful seasons!

HOOVER HAWKS FLY HIGH IN GIRLS HOOPS The Middle School Girls Basketball Championship took place December 13 at Kezar Pavilion with Hoover downing Giannini 36-30.  In route to the title, the Hawks had to defeat three higher seeded teams to earn their third hoops title overall.  Congratulations to both schools on a very exciting final and successful seasons!

APTOS GRABS BASEBALL TITLE Under sunny skies at Hennessey Field Oct. 12, Aptos downed Presidio 4-2 to take the AAA Middle School Baseball title.  The victory gives the Tigers their 9th overall title and first since 1991.  Congratulations to both schools on an exciting game and successful seasons!

PRESIDIO TOPS IN SOFTBALL The AAA Middle School Softball final took place Oct. 7 at Lang Field with Presidio downing Francisco 19-1.  The victory gives the Panthers back to back titles and four in the past five years.  Congratulations to both teams on very successful seasons!

CPR REGULATIONS
A notice to ALL Middle School coaches, CPR regulations have changed!  A child is now considered anyone 11 years of age or younger.  Since many middle school students are within this age range, ALL Middle School coaches MUST take both adult AND child CPR when renewing or obtaining certification for the first time.  Please take note of this when signing up for your next course.

NFHS OFFERS MIDDLE SCHOOL COACHING ED COURSE
The NFHS is now offering an on-line coaching education course for Middle School coaches.  Check out this link for information about the course and how to sign up.

COACHING YOUTH COURSE OFFERED BY ASEP
Check out this link to information on a new on-line courses on coaching at the youth level (ages 6-13) available through ASEP.  They give some very helpful information on coaching various youth sports and dealing with athletes in this age group.  ASEP is a required course for high school coaches and this youth course would be a great precursor for those youth coaches with higher aspirations.
