SFUSD ATHLETIC SUPPORTER REMEMBERED
Claude Rosenberg Jr., main benefactor for the
renovation of the Burton HS athletic field and track and long time
supporter of youth athletics in San Francisco, passed away recently at the
age of 80. The AAA and SF Section mourns the loss of this "City
Native," Lowell HS graduate, successful businessman, and icon of
philanthropy who was dedicated to bettering the lives of many San
Franciscans. His good nature, caring, and generosity will truly be
missed!

BURTON FIELD PROJECT UPDATE
Construction in final stages! Both the
football field and track are complete and in use. Only the "D-zones"
(for field events), the pole vault area, and the concession stand and
bathrooms remain to be finished. Total project completion should
take place by the Summer of 2008.
