UCSF Playsafe

PlaySafe’s Mission & Vision Statements

The mission of the UCSF PlaySafe Sports Medicine Program is to provide a safe and positive environment for athletic pursuits, to facilitate access to the highest quality sports medicine care, and to encourage physical and mental growth by empowering student-athletes to lead balanced, physically active lifestyles.

We believe that every athlete should have access to high-quality healthcare with athletic training services.  Through this belief, PlaySafe strives to bring a comprehensive sports medicine approach to every active community within the Bay Area and to be the gold standard of high school outreach programs.

For the past 20+ years, the UCSF PlaySafe Program is proud to provide on-site Sports Medicine care to SFUSD student-athletes through a team of certified athletic trainers and team physicians.
